Multilingual broadcasts are being offered on FM Nagaoka (80.7 MHz) from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. every Wednesday evening. The City of Nagaoka offers the World Cafe-FM Nagaoka-Chikyû Hiroba Multilingual Broadcasts for international residents in Nagaoka.

Do you have a radio at home? A radio can provide very useful information in case of serious disasters such as earthquakes and floods. During a blackout, you cannot use electricity, which means you cannot use TV or the Internet, but you can listen to a radio at this time. In collaboration with FM Nagaoka, the Nagaoka City International Affairs Center, Chikyû Hiroba, will send out multilingual information to international residents in case of disasters. We recommend that you keep a radio at home.
